    I'm Sam Rana, a first-year B.Tech student in Civil Engineering at Delhi Technological University (DTU), India. I'm excited to join the Horizontal/Subsurface Infrastructure & Transportation community and connect with fellow professionals.
    As a civil engineering enthusiast,  I'm passionate about designing and developing efficient, safe, and sustainable transportation systems. I'm committed to staying updated on industry trends and best practices in transportation engineering, with a focus on innovative solutions for smart cities and infrastructure development.
     
    I'm proud to share that I'm re-establishing the ASCE DTU chapter. Additionally,  I'm exploring startup opportunities in transportation engineering and would love to connect with like-minded individuals.I'd love to collaborate with fellow community members on projects or events that align with our shared interests.

    Thanks for your interest in my startup idea! I'm excited to share more details with you. My vision is to create a one-stop solution in transportation engineering that provides a wide range of services, including:
     
    - Innovative street solutions
    - Converting rural to urban infrastructure
    - Smart traffic management systems
    - Contract alerts and procurement services (I've already built a website for this)
    - Mentorship and guidance for young civil engineering students
    - Awareness programs and promoting civil engineering as a career
    - Integrating AI and technology into civil engineering
     
    I'd love to get your guidance and feedback on this idea. Your expertise in the field would be invaluable in helping me refine my concept and turn it into a successful startup.
     
    The plan I have in mind is quite comprehensive, and I think it would be better to explain it in a more interactive setting. Would you be available for a quick online meet? I'd appreciate the opportunity to share my ideas with you in more detail and get your feedback.

    Regarding my startup idea, I have begun to evaluate my strengths and weaknesses in the areas you mentioned, including innovative street solutions, smart traffic management systems, and integrating AI and technology into civil engineering.

    If you are having the Transportation engineering speciality, ( MS / ME / M.Tech) you may try the below upcoming Internship programs. Based on the different geographical locations, it may slightly vary.

    Transportation Engineering internships for Summer 2025:

    • WSP USA: Seeking interns in Seattle, WA, to assist with engineering tasks and project research. The internship is 12 weeks starting May 19, 2025, and requires enrollment in a relevant degree program

    However, I would like to clarify that I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in B.Tech. The internships you mentioned appear to be geared towards M.Tech/MS students. I would be grateful if you could provide me with information on internship opportunities suitable for undergraduate students like myself.

    As you are in the first year, first & foremost take the orientation classes from the Inception DTU Student Chapter Faculty advisor /s  as well as support & guidance from present IS NR leadership on the IS NR conference below communication details for your easy ready reference. 

    Note: Also strongly recommend & suggest you first you finish & gain knowledge of your elementary & basic civil engineering curriculum subjects (first & second).get the minimum 3 to 3.5 grades on these subjects. 3rd year onwords you may start.

    I also appreciate your advice on focusing on my elementary and basic civil engineering curriculum subjects in my first and second year. I will prioritize gaining knowledge and achieving good grades in these subjects before exploring other opportunities.

We deeply appreciate your enthusiasm for contributing to this significant event.

    Due to the large number of submissions received on the last date, some delegates encountered technical difficulties in uploading their papers. We are getting number of emails and messages for the extension of paper submission date. This, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to participate, the paper submission deadline has been extended to December 6, 2024.
