An exclusive online forum where civil engineers can exchange ideas, share documents and network.

Are you ready to join the ASCE Collaborate community? It might be a little overwhelming. Here are a few steps to get started. 

**Please note we recommend using Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge to participate. 

Update your Privacy Settings

All ASCE members are included in the ASCE Collaborate member directory. Please visit the Privacy Settings in your profile to decide what information you would like to be displayed. You can control who views what content by selecting the following

Public – Everyone can see.

Members Only – Only ASCE members.

My Contacts – Only people who you have accepted as a contact.

Only Me – No one but yourself.

Please visit Profile - My Account – Privacy Settings or Update here.

ASCE Collaborate is designed to be a resource for everyone who participates. Please keep this in mind as you ask questions and comment in the open forums. Please review our guidelines to understand how you should engage. View them here.

Now that we have the basics out of the way. It’s time to engage with other engineers. Please take the time to browse the discussions, reply when you can add knowledge to the conversation and ask questions by starting new discussions.

Introduce Yourself - Create a Profile

Contact information, job title, education, and license are populated by the ASCE Membership database. You can edit your account here. Please allow 12 hours for the changes to appear in ASCE Collaborate. 

You can add the following in ASCE Collaborate:

  1. Add a profile picture – You will see a downward facing arrow in the upper right-hand side of your screen next to an avatar. First click the arrow then click Profile or click here.
  2. Add a bio – tell us a little bit about yourself.
  3. Add your professional affiliations – what groups are instrumental in your professional development?

Contact details will already appear from our member database. If you wish to update any of these records, please contact Member Services. You can control what information is visible to other members by changing your privacy settings (see below).

Set your email Preferences

You have been added to groups that correspond to your ASCE involvement. Please select how often you would like to receive emails from these groups.

Please visit Profile - My account – Community Notifications to select what notifications you would like to receive.

You can select:

“No Email” – Unsubscribe.

“Daily Digest” – Discussion posts from the entire day in that group.

 “Weekly Digest”- Discussion posts from the entire week in that group.

“Daily Consolidated Digest” – Shared files, discussion posts, events, and announcements for the day in one consolidated digest.

“Weekly Consolidated Digest” - Shared files, discussion posts, events, and announcements for the week one consolidated digest

You may change your notification settings at any time. Update here.
