Currently serving as the ASCE Region 9 Governor for the Sacramento Section. ASCE interests include Future World Vision, JEDI, the 2024 CA Infrastructure Symposium to be held in Sacramento, the 2024 Mid-Pacific Student Symposium to be held in Sacramento and bringing the government engineering perspective to the Region 9 Board.
Retired from Caltrans where I led implementation of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications for the Department and State; represented Caltrans as a member/technical chair of the AASHTO Bridge Design Subcommittee, as a member of numerous NCHRP Research Project Review Panels, as a presenter at numerous conferences that I had the privilege of attending.
