Parsa Yazdi is a PhD student at the University of Waikato specializing in structural steel design, artificial intelligence (AI), and optimization. His work integrates multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM), multi-objective optimization (MOO) and AI to enhance design processes in structural engineering. Parsa also explores socioeconomic decision-making models to address industry challenges. With a Professional Engineer (PE) license in civil engineering and years of experience, he collaborates with New Zealand industries on innovative projects, including developing and patenting novel structural solutions. He inspires students by sharing his expertise in AI structural design and engineering applications.
