I'm a civil / structural engineer by training but spent my entire professional career in the oil and gas industry working for a major energy company in technical and leadership roles. My experience includes developing and deploying technology to enable safe and effective drilling and producing operations, concept selection and front end decision making, and applying technology to address non-technical problems. Skills that broadly transfer include technology planning and stage gating, opportunity framing, decision quality, leading global teams, managing technical and non-technical risks, and working across disciplines and functions to solve problems.
