What's the best career advice you've ever received? Look for a job that is a good fit, but if a job doesn’t turn out the way you hoped, you can still learn from the experience and then use it as a steppingstone to a better one.

What's the best career advice you've ever received? The best career advice I ever received was from a Drexel Alumnus and the advice was to apply for the BS/MS Accelerated Degree program at my university. To be able to graduate with both my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Civil Engineering in five years was difficult, but it made it so much easier for me to stand out when I was searching for my first full-time job and I might not have applied to the program if it wasn't for that advice! Generally speaking, I recommend that you connect with alumni from your school, preferably one who studied the same major as you as they have some great advice for you that is specific to your school!

What's the best career advice you've ever received? Choose a career that you care about, that interests you, or that you believe in. You will likely spend a lot of time in it. To quote Alan Watts: “This is the real secret of life ‐ to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realize it is play.”
