Villanova University CEE Dept - Water Resources Engineering
The Villanova Urban Stormwater Partnership (VUSP), part of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Villanova University, has the mission to advance the evolving field of sustainable stormwater management and to foster the development of public and private partnerships through research on innovative stormwater control measures (SCMs), directed studies, technology transfer and education. Villanova University is a national university with doctoral and master's programs. The VUSP has several research projects presently related to urban hydrology and stormwater green infrastructure and are seeking to fill the following positions:
- Post-doctoral researcher - We are seeking a candidate to have a managing research role in multiple projects. The candidate would conduct research and assist with grant execution, including mentoring graduate students. The candidate should have their PhD in Civil Engineering or related field and skills associated with field research, data analysis, and/or programming. There are opportunities for undergraduate and graduate teaching.
- Doctoral research assistant - We are seeking candidates to pursue their doctoral studies in Civil Engineering with a focus on water resources and perform research on one or more related projects. The candidate should have their MS in Civil Engineering or related field and ideally have some experience with field research and data analysis. There are opportunities to gain experience teaching and participate in other volunteer programs.
- Masters research assistant - We are seeking a candidate to pursue their master's degree in either Civil Engineering (MSCE) or Water Resources and Environmental Engineering (MSWREE). The candidate would focus on water resources and perform research on an ongoing stormwater research project. The candidate should have their BS in Civil Engineering or related field and a willingness to perform field research.
