I am aware of one paper on CFD for a storm water application. Storm Water Best Management Practice: Development of Debris Filtering Structure for Supercritical Flow. Authors: Jungseok Ho, Todd Marti and Julie Coonrod, from the Department of Civil Engineering, University of New Mexico. The work was done about 3 years ago with funding from the Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority.
