Remember the situation happened on the globe [shortage of food and water] due to climate change on water resources. There is a high gap between supply and demand. What are the main manmade causes for climate change? If we know the causes, how we can control the effect of climate change on water resources?

There have been many discussions in the ASCE Collaborate forum on various aspects of Warming Climate. At least two recent ones are: Climate Change and Causes (July 2018); and Empirical Data on Global Warming and CO2 (July 2020). You may consider revisiting them to see if they meet your queries.

There are many (perhaps too many!) papers/articles on this most important topic of our time – one excellent one is NAP 18730. Also, you may have a look at my article Warming Climate and Entropywhere I have tried to focus on the physics of climate dynamics. You will find many references in these sources.

Here are something reasonable to say. If one thinks about it, the responses of the elements of water resources to warming (as part of the balancing interacting system of Fluid, Solid and Life, and as a way to restore equilibrium and stability) are likely getting manifested in the global episodes of sporadic and unpredictable intensification of some weather phenomena. Again, it is reasonable to say that – such warming climate episodes are likely the results of human intervention in the Sun-Earth energy balance – or might as well be a very important factor in exacerbating the natural trend. Other explanation of it – as a mere hysteresis, outlier or coincidence – seems unlikely.
