I have to design a STP to the management college hostel medium capacity. An existing septic tank with good bricks baked clay have size 10 m 3 m and 2.7 m height. Which is the suitable more than RCC. Clay is sustainable see sindu river culture the clay brick structure is with out damage coexist with the natural environment. For the STP 6 small tanks are required it's done RCC given the lining of chicken mesh for 3 cm concrete joining the old brick tank . Now the brick tank is lined with chicken mesh and small thickness of concrete for water proof. The big main tank is divided into suitable size for the STP function properly. Clay brick structure is sustainable and resilient

Thank you, Alex. Clay brick structures truly demonstrate impressive sustainability and long-term resilience, especially when combined with modern strengthening and waterproofing methods. The integration of traditional materials with contemporary detailing, like mesh reinforcement and thin concrete lining, can create a durable and environmentally responsible solution for STP applications. Your approach highlights how existing structures can be effectively adapted and optimized without relying solely on full RCC construction, which also supports resource efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
