New Login Experience Coming!
ASCE will launch a new login experience in early 2026.
I recently ran across ASCE 37 on this topic, and they have a table of reduction factors. They go down to temp structures for 6 weeks, but the factor is only 0.75 applied to the Risk Cat wind speed. It brings the wind velocity down, but a 6 week return period speed is higher than a 10-year MRI. It seems very conservative.
