    To whom this may concern,

    I would like to ask about the case shown in the attached pictures, regarding the calculation of negative wall pressures (C&C) on the lower podium of a high-rise tower.  

    Per ASCE7-05 section 6.5 (and similar for other ASCE7), can the q(h) for negative wall pressures be calculated for the lower height of the podium? Or does this need to be calculated using the full mean roof height? 

    A wind tunnel report is ideal, but for cases where this is not available, I believe it is advised per code to use the mean roof height of the tower.  Any insight on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
