  • 1.  HELP ON LICENSURE

    Hello everyone!
I recently have encountered an unusual situation. A coworker and I was having troubles with passing of the FE Exam and after passing the exam we have encountered another obstacle. He is from Venezuela and the university is currently on strike and having other issues with the government. Does one just have to wait until everything calms down to get the EI certification or is there another way around all of this? I was thinking there has to be other people who have encountered similar situations. Does anyone know of someone who has graduated from the Central University of Venezuela and been able to get their EI or PE? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, Austin.

I am not sure I understand the exact nature of the problem that your friend has.  It seems that your friend can't get his FE exam results because of the situation at his university.  NCEES' web site indicates that exam takers can log in to their MYNCEES account to find out their exam results and their next steps based on their licensing board requirements.

NCEES' web site doesn't indicate that they offer test sites in Venezuela so if it is the case that your friend hasn't taken the test yet but wants to, he may have to look outside his university or even his country for a place to take it.

I recommend he refer to http://ncees.org/engineering/fe/ for more details on preparing for and taking the exam.

I hope this helps, but if not feel free to send your questions about P.E. licensing to professional@....
