I thought this may be relevant for some of us who aren't working or don't have an employer to reimburse their continued education expenses. Here are some of the less expensive resources that I found or that were kindly shared with me. Feel free to add yours.

• 5 Professional Development Hours (PDH) for free per year as a member of ASCE
• Your State's Board may allow some free or nearly free online courses. I took GIS on Coursera emailed the board directly for the approval.
• WEF webcasts are free for members and are approximately $20 per PDH for non members http://knowledgecenter.wef.org/credits
• https://ez-pdh.com - pre-approved provider (for Maryland). $6-10 per PDH
• Federal government may have free training, e.g. some free online courses from FEMA here https://training.fema.gov/is/crslist.aspx
• EPA offers a variety of online training resources such as

• https://www.epa.gov/dwreginfo/training  https://www.fedcenter.gov/training/ These are not pre-approved, but do include tests and certificates of completion with associated hours
