    ASCE Collaborate will be releasing an Al search assistant that will make it easier to find answers to your technical and professional questions in ASCE Collaborate. We are looking for names. Please reply to this thread if you have any ideas about what an ASCE search assistant should be named. Looking forward to hearing your ideas!

    Fun question, Tirza.

    If we're into brevity: Ceek (and you shall find.)

    Implied honesty: Diogenes (or his Lamp)

    Implied wisdom: Plato

    Naval style acronyms: CivWiz

    Some scatological and double entendre possibilities arise, but they're  better left unsaid.

    Thank you, Tirza, for launching such an exciting and forward-thinking initiative. It's inspiring to see ASCE embracing intelligent tools, to support our technical community and deepen access to shared knowledge.

    I'd like to propose four names:
    1-  AURA :short for ASCE Unified Research Assistant. The name evokes clarity, guidance, and a halo of insight, beautifully reflecting ASCE's mission to illuminate technical pathways for civil engineers. It's elegant, globally resonant, and harmonizes with the institutional tone of ASCE's established institutes.

    2- Other strong contenders I explored include AXIS (ASCE eXpert Intelligence System), which conveys precision and centrality;
    3- NOVA (Navigational Organizational Virtual Assistant), which suggests innovation and forward momentum;
    4-  and CORE (Collaborative Organizational Research Engine), which symbolizes the foundational strength of ASCE's technical ecosystem.
    Each name is crafted to reflect ASCE's research depth, collaborative spirit, and global legacy.

    Looking forward to seeing how this assistant evolves to empower our engineering community.

    Warm regards,

    Hi Tirza! It is exciting to know about the release of this new feature!
    I propose: A-I-SCE ("I" stands for intelligence, interactive, imagination)

    If you ASCmE, I think ASCmE would be a good name.

    Thank you for the great ideas! @Abubakr Gameil, we named the AI Search Assistant CORI (Collaborate's Organizational Research Intelligence). You can now use CORI to search the ASCE Collaborate Community for answers to your professional and technical questions. You will be hearing more about what ASCE is doing to make your life easier with new AI tools.

    That was awesome, Terza - even better than my suggestions!

    I noticed that, and to be honest, I had a great conversation with CORI. I truly appreciated how the LLM model handled complex requests. Technically, when I tested the model's reliability and flexibility through smart chat, I was impressed. The LLM model demonstrated a high capability to evolve through expert-level conversations, functioning almost like model training in a controlled environment.

    This smart and powerful approach, could meaningfully contribute to community development in many different ways. Very soon, we may witness CORI - the AI-based engineering tool - ranked as the top AI assistant in the field.

    Thank you, Terza, and your brilliant team, for continuously advancing our profession.

    Glad that a suitable and attractive acronym is finally chosen. Among the many brilliant suggestions – Abubakr's CORE → CORI got a home in the Collaborate AI search domain.

    It's about time. The Collaborate is nearly a decade old (if I remember correctly, first started in 2016?). And there are many contributions – from young engineers to old – from inexperienced to the experienced. Frank and sincere – they have been helping us learn from one another.

    This, itself is a thoughtful and innovative ASCE initiative. I don't know who initiated it – but, those in ASCE who came up the idea deserve credit.

    I was not aware of it until I got an email from Tirza's predecessor – inviting me to sign up and contribute. I got interested in Collaborate since then – partly credited to my interactions with Tirza and Bill Hayden.

    The Forum developed into a mushroom of offshoots ever since – all serving the greater interests of Engineers.

    Congratulations!
