    Hello Everyone,

What are the challenges in the construction of SPSW core in a RC structural system? Is there sufficient research on this kind of structure subjected to earthquake/ wind? How are the moment connections provided between steel and RC structural components?

AISC has developed several good documents on Steel Plate Shear Walls that are worth reviewing.

There may be others.  I have not designed using them, but my understanding is that they were developed primarily for lateral load resistance (seismic/wind).

The nuclear industry has developed another composite shear wall design using steel plates.
