I am a PhD candidate in the Technology Management PhD program at Indiana State University and I am conducting a study to better understand the impacts of innovation in the construction industry on project financing. The objective of this research project is to attempt to understand how the use of innovative means and methods in construction is viewed as a project risk threat to lenders. Through your participation, I eventually hope to understand how innovative means and methods is perceived by project stakeholders and the effects of technological change on the industry.

The following link (https://indstate.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_b2EfrSeJaaZpL8h) contains a brief (approx. 21 question) questionnaire that asks about your attitudes toward innovation in construction and risk tolerance. I am asking you to look over the questionnaire and, if you choose to do so, complete the questionnaire. All responses will be anonymous and no personally identifiable information will be collected.

I hope you will take a few minutes to complete this questionnaire. Without the help of people like you, construction research could not be conducted. Your participation is voluntary and there is no penalty if you do not participate.

If you have any questions or concerns about completing the questionnaire or about participating in this study, you may contact me at  jkamm1@....  If you have any questions about your rights as a research subject, you may contact the Indiana State University Institutional Review Board (IRB) by mail at Indiana State University, Office of Sponsored Programs, Terre Haute, IN 47809, by phone at (812) 237-8217, or by e-mail at dunderwood@.... This study (IRB # 973846-2) was approved by the IRB on November 27, 2016.

    Sincerely,
