    Hello Everyone,

We all are familiar with the IS Code. As per IS code M 20= 1:1.5:3 and M 25= 1:1:2. This design is never preferred on sites.
I would like to know more about mix designs taken in consideration for M 20 and M 25.
Please share the mix design of it with the minimum cement content. Also you also have options of adding the mineral and chemical admixtures.
Mineral admixtures like GGBS and Flyash
    Chemical admixture like plasticizers.

    Lets do it.

Mix design depends on the size of aggregate, the workability required. This also depends on the quality of cement. If the fine aggregate is manufactured sand (M.Sand) the quantity of cement required will be more than that for sand. To design a mix, we require the actual sieve analysis data of fine aggregate, course aggregate, combined aggregate at required proportion, slump required etc. Once we done a mix design and tested we met with a condition that there was no increase of stress in concrete after 14 days. Usually there will be increase of strength oh concrete from 14 to 28 days. We have to change the mix using increased % of cement.
