Review algorithm of performance levels of concrete structure designed in accordance
with ACI 318-99 and UBC 97 regulations With FEMA 356

All commands without certain flexibility must comply with the regulations for the earth quake hazard level and for the expected performance level of realized structures in the prescriptive regulations of UBC 97 and ACI 318-99. Practical regulations, such as instructions about the seismic rehabilitation of existing buildings as outlined in FEMA 356 (with respect to the objectives and expectations of the design engineer), and sets of guidelines and criteria about the adequacy of control measures in the case of an earthquake are presented in Algorithm 1.
