Hello everybody,
In ASCE41-13 in formulae (11-8) hef is defined as "height to resultant of seismic force".
On FIG. C11-3 the hef is shown as clear height of the opening, for perforated wall.
Can somebody please explain me, how these two definitions comply with each other? How relevant is FIG. C11-3 to the formulae (11-8) from your point of view?
