Here's 3D Analytical geometry the structure is analyzed by giving deflections and the resulting bending moment is found and designed. Correlations of BMD and deflections if it's used in the analysis?

Sir Alex, How are you? It has been a long time since this post. Everything ok I hope. . .

About the technical answer... What you can we do to solve this in a simple way, is to use the ACI 318 Table 9.5(a) as some suggestive data/shown my alternative answer as I explained in the other post (Alex Thomas Question). And...

You can use the minimum thickness for nonpresstressed beams to find the dimension of the beam that are suitable for your span configuration... And then, you might start another structural analysis to simulate those new dimensions with your loads concerns and verify the validity of the system with your data deflection provided, if it is acceptable.

Your judgement of the case might play an important role in this scenario.

    Thank you, Alex!

    Best wishes, Andre.

Mr. Thomas, I do not understand the question here. Can you rephrase? Does BMD = Bending Moment Diagram or something else?

BMD is bending moment diagram. Shape of bmd and deflection diagram any relationship. Partial differential equations is 3D analytical geometry equations. In stad pro software program is this the criteria for getting BM and shear force. Or the finite element analysis is it using?

It would be interesting to see if structural analysis programs have changed from the basic stiffness matrices and deflections with F = kd and moments generated based on nodal rotations.
