April 11 - It's Electric - Joint Webinar with the CT Chapter of COMTO - Earn 1 NYS PDH

Please join CSCE and the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) CT Chapter at a joint webinar at 12 p.m. Noon EST on Thursday, April 11, 2024. The Connecticut Department of Transportation is working on transitioning its transit fleet from Internal Combustion Engine to Zero Emission Buses. There are currently several Battery Electric Buses in revenue service throughout the state under the CTtransit branded services with more than four dozen more Electric Buses expected to begin delivery this summer. Please join us as Rahmane Camara, Project Manager in the Bureau of Public Transportation at the CT DOT, reviews current electric bus operations, charging equipment & upgrades, as well as the plans for the many more buses expected later this year. Attendees may earn 1 NYS PDH at this event. On behalf of CSCE, this webinar is sponsored by the CT Chapter of the ASCE Transportation & Development Institute.

Rahmane Camara is a Project Manager in the Bureau of Public Transportation at the CT DOT. He worked closely with different transit professionals throughout the state to launch and manage the Battery Electric Bus Program. He has a strong passion for transportation, particularly as it relates to sustainability. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering from Central Connecticut State University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
