Fort Worth March Meeting: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

Summary: Meeting venue will be Blue Mesa, buffet style so please arrive early to provide ample time for lunch. 

Speaker: Mark Schluter, P.E. from Westwood Professional Services

Bio: Mark was born in Fort Worth and taken home to the family farm where he still lives today. Mark graduated from Texas A&M in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Upon graduation Mark joined TxDOT Fort Worth and began his 28-year career. Mark started in the Bridge Design group and designed many notable projects on IH-35w, IH-20 and IH-30. Mark moved into the advanced planning group and worked on schematics for SH 199, Chisolm Trail Parkway and US 67. Mark then moved to the Decatur Area office as the assistant, then to Area Engineer, then being promoted to the North Tarrant Area Engineers position. Mark completed his TxDOT career as Director of Transportation Operations before retiring to the private sector. Mark enjoys his down time by farming, preaching, working on cars,

 and spending time with grandkids. Mark has served on the NWISD school board for 27 years, on the 35W Coalition Executive board, Chairman of the Rhome P&Z and as a board member of the Circle T MUD board.
