Presentation: Current Work at the Upstate Mobility Alliance

GP McLeer is the Director of the Upstate Mobility Alliance, a position he has held since 2022. There, GP helps advance transportation solutions across the 10-county upstate region and advocates for continued investment into mobility-centric endeavors. This includes everything from trails to buses, from roads to airports, and the future of mobility.

He is also the Mayor of Fountain Inn, the fastest growing city in Greenville County, where he was first elected in 2019 and is now in his second term.

GP is also the co-founder of Pecan Public Relations, a boutique PR firm that helps nonprofits with advocacy, special events, and communications.

GP is married to his wife Taylor, and together they have one daughter, Albee James.

GP will discuss the current work at the Upstate Mobility Alliance, including the first-ever Upstate Mobility Summit, efforts to establish public transit in rural communities, and the upcoming release of a SCDOT-commissioned study focused on establishing a transit hub at GSP Airport.
