This talk will describe the project to conduct a full ecological restoration of the Bear River Massacre Site. Over 350 acres will be improved with removal of invasive species, wetlands creation, planting native vegetation, and restoring Battle Creek to its natural meanders. The Tribe is taking the land back in time to the environment as seen prior to 1863.
The speakers are Brad Parry, Vice Chairman/Natural Resource Officer, The Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation and Brian Andrew, Principal Engineer, Hansen, Allen, & Luce Engineers.
