Wasatch Front Branch Lunch and Tour - Contech Engineered Solutions Precast Facility

When:  May 17, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 01:00 PM (MT)
Associated with  Wasatch Front Branch

Paul Nicolet, Plant Manager for Contech Engineered Solutions welcomes ASCE members and guests to tour the precast facility in Salt Lake City.  Formerly operating as Forterra, this plant specializes in precast and prestressed concrete structures including girders, voided slabs, and parking garages.  High profile projects include the Delta Center, multiple LDS temples, and highway bridges throughout the state.  Attendees of the tour will see how precast structural components are made and how they contribute to the continually growing infrastructure of our state.

Please bring PPE (hard hat, safety vest, eye protection) if you have it.  Extra PPE is available for those who don’t have their own.

Check-in begins at 11:30 am followed by boxed lunch and then tour (approximately 12:00 pm).

Please register through this ASCE web page. Two payment options will be provided at the end of the registration which allow payment by card, or delayed payment at the event. Payment is acceptable at the event with a credit card or cash, but we encourage you to pay beforehand.

If venmo works best, please send payment to username @ASCEWFB or use this Venmo Link: https://www.venmo.com/u/ASCEWFB

Donations of $30 are suggested, with a minimum $20 payment for ASCE members which includes the lunch and PDH certificate.  Proceeds benefit student scholarships.

Receive one (1) Professional Development Hour (PDH) toward your P.E. license renewal for each ASCE Branch meeting attended.
