    Dear Pittsburgh Section Members,

Cities across the country, including Pittsburgh, are leading a new approach to building, maintaining and modifying urban roadways. The "complete streets" approach integrates advanced pedestrian, bicycle and transit infrastructure, alongside conventional motor vehicle traffic, with the goal of providing safe streets for everyone. This presentation will define complete streets using Envision Downtown's recent work, review technical resources for complete street design, and provide an update on the City's Complete Streets Policy.

Sean C. Luther is the executive director of Envision Downtown - a public private partnership created by City of Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto and the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership to craft a 21st century vision for the sustainable and efficiency development of a Downtown for all. Mr. Luther oversees efforts to design and implement short-term, accelerated mobility infrastructure projects in Downtown with the goal of informing longer-term transformational changes to Pittsburgh's mobility networks.
