Fellow Engineers,
At
http://www.ascemetsection.org/images/files/structures/2017_ASCE_Spring_Seminar_Flyer_4.28.17.pdf the following presentation was made
Suspension Bridge Main Cable Dehumidification
Thomas McNutt, PEng, MASc
Bridge Engineer, COWI North America, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Of the state of the art bridge cable dehumidification.
I spoke to the speaker about particulates in the air causing problem with flow in the main diameter. He said there was air filtering. A Japanese engineer mentioned that they found particulates but did not study the matter. Input sought in the matter.
Sincerely
Len Andersen
