The Department of Civil Engineering at New Mexico State University (NMSU) was recently featured in NMSU’s Salon Discovery (Enchantment of the Mind) Event (Salon Discovery | New Mexico State University).  A showcase video on “NMSU Civil Engineering: En Route to a Better Infrastructure” was arranged by the NMSU Creative Media Institute which can be accessed at the link below:

We are partners in two Engineering Research Centers sponsored by the National Science Foundation:

• Re-Inventing the Nation’s Urban Water Infrastructure (ReNUWIt) - campus PI, Dr. Nirmala Khandan, Environmental Engineering
• Center for Bio-mediated and Bio-inspired Geotechnics (CBBG) - campus PI, Dr. Paola Bandini, Geotechnical Engineering

​This was an excellent Discussion item that gave some great material for folks to read.  NMSU CE Department is once again seeking ABET approval of their programs and all of you need to help Dr. Jauregui, et al to obtain an excellent rating of their current programs.  Also, anyone interested in knowing more about the NMSU Academy of CAGE; please visit http://acage.net and see what about 350 of the CAGE grads are doing for the improvement of the NMSU CE Dept programs.  You also might like to attend the upcoming 2018 NMT&C conference next month in Las Cruces.
