    Greetings:

My colleague and I are conducting research relating to barriers towards female leadership in CM and techniques to overcome. We are looking for approx. 30 seasoned female construction professionals to participate in 3 rounds of online surveys, with each survey taking about 15mins to complete.

    The initial
round seeks open-ended questions, the authors will compile the open-ended questions and the results of round 1 will be aggregated into a collection of anonymous experiences and mitigating mechanisms. The mitigating mechanism will then be analyzed for commonality with known mitigating mechanisms found in existing literature. Round 2 will present you with the aggregated list of barriers and coping mechanisms and you will be asked to rate each item on a 5-point Likert scale. The results will be compiled and statistically analyzed for mean, distribution, standard deviation, and rank order. Round 3 will present you with the results of round two and ask you to rank your agreement with the final compiled list of combatting mechanisms.

There is no compensation for participating in this study. However, your participation will be a valuable addition to our research and findings could lead to greater public understanding of the challenges female managers face regularly in the construction industry, as well as suggest a list of successful mitigating mechanisms. We plan to share the outcomes in relevant conferences

If you are willing to participate, please contact one of the researchers, Siham Lekchiri at slekchiri@... or Jesse Kamm at jkammphd@.... If you have any questions please do not hesitate ask.
