Hi,
Thanks very much for choosing this topic.
I don't think that it's achievable task as the UK's economy is struggling with the challenges such as
the high levels of inflations , high energy prices, Russia-Ukraine war which will definitely influence the implementation of the government energy policy.
Also, the challenges to replace the fossil fuels with
nuclear power plants and wind farms in the near future to compensate the fossil fuel use in terms of construction , operation and connection to the national
grids.

Subject: Great British Energy
There has been much publicity in the press this week around the Government's New Flagship Energy Policy, namely Great British Energy, that had its 2nd Reading in the House of Commons.
Having read the Bill, the goals appear to be over ambitious and lack detail.
What are your thoughts?
For example, do you thinks that it is remotely possible to decarbonise the National Grid by 2030? some 2000 days away!
Do you think the UK has the appropriate experience Engineering resource?
What do you think needs to be done to pragmatically support this initiative?
