New Hampshire Section

Hello,  I found your this board when I was logged onto NH ASCE community site as I was searching for someone to ask a quick question.  My background is in structural engineering where I retired in NH and I need some suggestions regarding geotextile fabrics for home use.   I have a small area  in my yard 20 x 20 ft that is on a very slight hill - composed of clay soil. Over this area, I am putting a shed.  I want to protect the soil area under the shed from erosion.  I see that all kinds of products are offered by LOWES and HOME DEPOT and several variations (i.e. woven, un-woven, etc..).  Can you suggest any guidelines I should look for in selecting a geotextile for erosion protection ?   Anyone had any experience in using a particular geotextile for home use ?  Thanks for any input.   Stephen Kiss
