Good afternoon ExCEEd Supporters!
The ExCEEd Community Exchange (ECX) is a series of 60-minute virtual gatherings where the Committee on Faculty Development (CFD) invites ASCE members to share experiences and exchange ideas on how they have implemented teaching practices centered around a topic. The open-ended discussions are facilitated by a member of CFD, and it is a great opportunity to network and exchange ideas with a community of civil engineering educators.
The second ECX of Fall 2021 is scheduled for October 28th, 2021, 3:00 – 4:00 pm ET, which will be a roundtable discussion on the Manifestation of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in the Civil Engineering Classroom. CFD invites you to join and contribute toward a roundtable discussion on how civil engineering faculty have developed teaching practices that help transform the engineering landscape to be more welcoming of diverse perspectives and values. How are engineering faculty supporting a generation of students who are increasingly challenging exclusionary social structures at every turn? Join the discussion, exchange ideas, and learn from others at the ExCEEd Community Exchange (ECX)!
Register today at bit.ly/ECX-OCT2021 – it's free for ASCE members!
If you would like organizers to know that you'd like to share your perspective at ECX on October 28th, then please follow-up with the designated person per the instructions you'll receive in the confirmation email. Note that this is a roundtable discussion, so you are not obligated to inform us in advance that you'd like to share your perspective.
