I have graduated in Civil Engineering from Bangalore in 2015 and presently hold 20 months of work experience, and to advance my educational credentials I intend to pursue M.S in Structural Engineering. Apparently, I have a question lurking in my mind; that how would it be advantageous for a student choosing to pursue M.S in the U.S over preferring M.Tech in India through GATE for the same discipline, considering its career prospects or job opportunities for M.S(Structural Engineering) and the present H1-B Visa issue, despite the fact that the newly introduced immigration policy allows foreign STEM students about 29 months to pursue their training/research under the student visa, thus allowing the STEM student ample time to obtain an H-1B visa. Therefore, Would it be worth the investment in pursuing M.S?.
