    Hello Sir/Madam,

I am a third year BTech Civil Engineering student at IIT Guwahati, I wanted to pursue MS but, I am confused about the stream.
Is it right to do Ms or to choose a job?
I wanted to know which is the best stream for doing MS in Civil Engineering. Also, I wanted to know which foreign university is best for doing MS and what are the scholarship opportunities available there?

    Thanks

Hy shivshant!!! This is Gopal. U can feel me as your super senior because i am just passed out (April-2017). Coming to the point...Firstly i appreciate you for getting thought/choosing/planning your carrier in third year itself. I would like to suggest you to do M.S in Structural Engineering specialiazation or in Construction Management. If you choose your master's in structures...scope of setting your own firm will be more and easy such as giving drawings/plans to the client and for this..initially you need to work as a employee in any good structural company without bothering about salary for an atleast 3 to 5 years and later on you can be an entrepreneur and also the income will be very good. If you choose your master's in Construction Management you will get a good salary at the intial step and  as you get experience you will be promoted  as Asst.Manager or Project Manager and this is the challenging field as you are working in the site. Remember that you did your graduation in IIT and you should do master's either in IIT's or M.S. Coming to scholarships availability....i would like to illustrate with my choice of selection. I got admission in world's top 50 universities.. i.e., Politechnico di milano university in Italy. Italian Government offers scholarship to everyone who wish to join in any university at itlay. Scholarships are available based on two criteria i.e., either by your academic performance in bachelor's degree or by on your income if you show your income as poor and i am going based on income and i got entire two years scholarship(No tution fee) and more over additional amount will be given to you for living Expenditure. If you go by bachelor's degree percentage similarlly you will get same scholarship and more amount will be given for living Expenditure. U can finish your M.S in just 4 to 5 lakhs and this amount is for your living cost only because u no need to pay tution fee. You can feel  free to contact me @9848848322. All the best.....
