I'll kick this off - In addition to the gift of spending time with friends and family, I also received a walking pad. This gift fits my efforts to be more active throughout the day. It's easy to get up and move in the spring, summer, and fall, but once winter comes to Maine, it's not as fun going for a run or walking outside. With this walking pad, I'll have an easy way to be active during weekly Microsoft Teams meetings and webinars (not to mention I can walk while unwinding after work with a podcast or movie).

Season's greetings to the ASCE community! I'm delighted to share that I received a thoughtful gift this holiday season- the book "As a Man Thinketh" by James Allen. This classic work explores the profound impact of our thoughts on our lives and emphasizes the power of positive thinking. I'm eager to delve into its pages and gain insights that can inspire both my personal and professional growth.

Our office has been trying to incorporate sustainability into their gift giving. This year, we received a notebook and pen set that can be used together. The notebook is reusable and its pages can be cleaned and re-used. I haven't given its materials a close look yet but depending on what it is made of, it may end up being a more sustainable option that buying and throwing away notebooks.
