Excellent resources Becky.
A few notes for your intended audience to consider.
Career Planning[1]
First, some unbundling of our language's intent.
For example, what we are doing is not who we are,
but simply what we are doing. . . .at this time.
For example, Tom Hanks worked as a hotel bellman carrying bags
at a hotel before he entered the acting profession.
Go to pages 13 to 22 of the attachment and consider the suggestions and processes
Illustrated in Fig. 1 to 4.
And recall that the path(s) others took, while it worked for them, may not be what
your life's purpose is for you.
I liken the pursuit of a life that matters, after considering various options, to be
the result of the planning, design, and implementation of the "Pilgrim" that will
make that journey.
Stay Healthy!
Cheers,
Bill
p.s. OK, a personal note. Before making your final decision(s), each time ask yourself
"What value will this add to the lives of others?"

Subject: Choosing your career path
How can someone starting out in civil engineering or thinking of making a job change decide what career path will best fit their goals and be most satisfying?
ASCE's new Career Discovery Series will explore five career paths starting with "Explore Engineering Careers in Public Agencies" on January 28th from 1-2 PM (EST). Civil engineers will share first-hand experiences from their career path and answer questions from attendees afterward. Click here to register for free.
Consulting, education, construction, and industry career paths will be discussed at future sessions held monthly. Check the Career by Design event calendar for dates and registration links.
How did you decide on your career path?
What other career paths would you like to know more about?
