I'm researching Ph.D programs in Transportation Engineering. I would love to hear what opportunities are available for potential students? What programs do you recommend?

Have you tried looking for some mailing lists for advertised positions? Here are some sites that I used
    https://www.phdportal.com/disciplines/257/transportation-engineering.html
    https://euraxess.ec.europa.eu/jobs/search?keywords=transportation
    https://academicpositions.com/find-jobs/PhD-in-Transportation%20Engineering~Civil%20Engineering~Structural%20Engineering~Systems%20Engineering-by-all-in-all/transportation/1
    https://www.reddit.com/r/gradadmissions/

For universities in the US, it might be useful to identify the schools and professors and then go directly to the their personal webpages to see if there are opening positions. If you like what you are seeing, reach out directly to them and their current grad students to ask question and to see if they are willing to support your application.

    Hope this helps!
