I need some content on the subject as water scarcity is well known problem area for most of the developing countries across the globe. Please share any recommendations for resources on water scarcity in this thread. Thank you,

    Hi Ziaul Rehman,

as per my knowledge, wastewater is always treated and reused mostly for gardening, irrigation and toilet flushing. Though the treated water is clean and odorless, quality is poor compared to that of rain water. However, it can be used for low-grade purposes in buildings and in pavement.

There is an article available on ASCE Library which gives you more detailed information regarding your topic of interest.

I started a thread not too long ago to talk about biophilic and sustainable projects. It was initially intended to discuss transportation projects but turned into a conversation about rainwater harvesting (collecting, filtering, and storing rainwater). @Yance for participating in the discussion. Some of the resources that he presented was related to greenroof projects. Some other interesting resourceful living projects was the use of billboard surface area to catch rainwater for human consumption.

Sourcing out water for the public should be the primary objective and goal of any under developed and developing areas. Rainfall water can be collected and be stored in a water well. If there's no treatment plant to transfer them, you can use chlorine to kill impurities in the water.
