Hi Val,
I am not an engineer, but I reached out to our Hazard Tool developer, and here is response I received:
- No, the API only accepts latitude and longitude.
- There are any number of ways to do this online; here are just 3:
- https://www.latlong.net/convert-address-to-lat-long.html is a webtool that does exactly what the URL says.
- You can go to Google Maps and right click any location, and a popup will provide you with the lat/long of where you clicked.
- You can go to the Hazard Tool, enter an address, choose a hazard and RC, and click Get Results; the lat/long will be included in the results
Hope this helps!
