Equipment:        Non-Building Structure [Fin-Fan Cooler] identical to equipment shown in excerpt below from Figure 6.6 of the ASCE publication.  (Cooler is mounted on an Outdoor Emergency Diesel Generator.) The entire equipment is part of Emergency Power Supply to the Plant, hence Risk Category IV.

Risk Category:    IV in accordance with Table 1.5-1 of ASCE 7-16 which is the governing standard for application of environmental loads.

Wind Speed:      Basic Wind Speed is 75m/s corresponding to 3 sec gust at 10m height for exposure category C. Site specific value of the Project for a MRI of 3000 years.

For the procurement requisition, I propose to Bidders that example 6.6 of the ASCE publication be followed to qualify the design of equipment complete with support structure and non-structural components.

The load combinations to be adopted for the qualification of the Fin-Fan cooler, its supports on the generator shall be as per section 2.3 of ASCE 7-16 for the full life cycle of the Plant during Pre- and In-Service design conditions including during Cyclones. The expected performance standard in terms of functionality shall be Section 1.3.3 of ASCE 7-16.

<u5:p> </u5:p>Please advise that I have not missed out any fundamental design aspects in terms of wind loading.
