I had the privilege to sit on the porch of American Legion Post 35 and observe the CVN - 74 USS John C. Stennis transit thru the channel of the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel. VDOT has awarded a design build contract for about $3.8 B to construct an additional tunnel and replace approach bridges. I can also see the cranes for the $1B project for the CBBT to construct an additional tunnel.
