Throughout the previous year, I have seen a number of articles and firsthand accounts of large companies in the tech sector laying off staff while simultaneously posting record profits. A number of these companies cited over-hiring during the pandemic or staying ahead of anticipated slowdowns in growth or the economy.
I was curious about what others have seen in the civil engineering field. Are these patterns being reflected, despite tech and civil engineering having different types of clients and demands?
