Is Earth Day recognized by your employer? Are there any actions that staff typically take to mark the day (or week, month, etc)?

I am lucky to have a client that occasionally shares opportunities to participate in trash cleanups. These are commonly held during the spring and fall. 

Below is a link to a recent cleanup I got to participate in. I'd love to hear about additional ideas or opportunities that others have been involved in.

This year our company gave us all some wildflower seeds on Earth Day.

I was looking forward to prepping my wildflower garden for the year this weekend and including the new seeds, but with storms forecasted I decided to be patient a little longer.

Yes it is recognized, my employer represents a few municipal clients so there is always an opportunity to join their Earth Day trash pick up and stream sweeps.

A month ago I noticed that the area behind the company parking lot was starting to accumulate debris and other roadside trash, so I simply asked the owner if I was able to organize a trash pick up, which I was given the green light to pick up trash around the office. So at work last Friday 4/25/25 from 4 - 5 pm, on a purely volunteer basis, we picked up trash around the office and in our backyard stream <3 Campbells Run <3. While it wasn't a massive effort, I am proud of my effort and impact.
