As an engineer, what is the biggest achievement of your professional activity to date?
Please present it to each other in one paragraph or sentences, it may help other colleagues in their work progress.
I will start with myself and present it below and look forward to hearing from other colleagues.

I have always dreamed to write specialized books about my experiences for younger engineers. According to the experience gained in 15 years, I was able to write 4 volumes of specialized books in the field of seismic rehabilitation.

Since I'm still in the early stages of my career, mine would probably signing and sealing my first set of construction documents recently. It seems like a small thing, but it is something I've been looking forward to since I started my first internship (2014).

From 2006 to 2020, I volunteered countless hours in my community to help in a transition from blight to renaissance, as I sat on an advisory board and recommended both private development and capital improvement program projects, always balancing immediate needs and looking ahead. As part of the effort, I helped write a planning document to help the community grow for the next 20 years. The icing on the cake was presenting some of the work at conferences, receiving a few awards along the way plus recognitions from elected officials.

Starting about 1986 or so, with the 'sudden' elevated nation-wide awareness of the reduced competitiveness of American-made products following a Sunday evening television program June 24,1980,"If Japan Can, Why Can't We" by Dr. W. Edwards Deming, the word "Quality" spread like a wildfire!

With the hands-on support of ACEC, ASCE, AIA, FHWA, ASME, AGC, ASQ, PMI, FHWA, USACOE, I facilitated and co-managed the formation of the Design & Construction Quality Institute (DCQI), headquartered in the offices of ACEC, Washington, D.C. For over a nine-year period or so, annual conferences, newsletters and regional workshops were the results of the teamwork across traditional discipline 'boundaries.'
    Stay Healthy!
    Cheers,
    Bill

i have won an industry Award Fellowship to research the State of the Art and Practice and issue a Monograph and technical guidelines on Tunneling induced Ground Borne Vibrations in Urban Settings but even though the work was completed few years ago, for various reasons personal and associated health issues, I just could not find the right mindset and proper timing and sometimes access issues to the data to finalize and publish the monograph. It is a bit heartbreaking and even disappointing.

It is almost the same case for an MBA that got initiated few years ago, my first online MBA that seemed so simple and within reach and yet could not be finalized for access and administrative issues outside my control. I have always been able to earn my degrees with honor and flying colors and not just in America but in two other continents (France and Algeria);  An incomplete work or degree is like an unfinished business. It is disappointing and it doesn't feel good or right. Hopefully, we will connect the proper way, find the right time, timing and mindset with no unwanted disruption and get it done and honor those institutions.
