  • 1.  Square or Round Columns?

    Currently I'm studying about the project 12 storied building there's double height and large cutouts, two span flats slab structure is proposed having 9.73 metres bays inorder to accommodate cutouts. It's function of laboratory for research. 

    I want to know if the design is structurally 

    Stable . 25cm thick slab is discussed to provide. Is it square or round columns 90cm good?

    Dear Alex, to answer your question, it is required much more information. Do you have drawings of the structure? To analyze columns stability, provide the column length and materials used.

    It's double height first 7m.RCC. 2×5 bays additional 2bays capstan First floor. height 3.5 m. Beams and slab  and shear walls at the two ends, 12 storied portion 2×5 bays and the two ends spans.
