Most of the researchers that have investigated the effect of a single electrical cabinet on the primary structure have concluded the following:
The mounting of Electrical Cabinet over the Primary structure will not reduce the peak response, i-e it will not work as a damper.
The amplification effect due to building nonlinearity on the peak acceleration response of a linear nonstructural component will occur when nonstructural components are located on the lower floors of the building
Based on these conclusions, I have the following questions:
1. What is the effect when a cabinet is in a series? As in Practical, the cabinet is not a single secondary structure. Considering the effect of one cabinet and comparatively with multi-cabinets will cause some effects based on PSSI.
- Will weights of the cabinet and support condition effect the primary structure?
As the weight of one cabinet is 287kg. If we are using the 5 cabinets, is the weight effect significant enough to be considered?
3. Will the high frequency of the cabinet and position of the cabinet tend to change the response of the primary structure?
