Dear Stephanie,
First of all, thank you for participating in this discussion and studying my file.
In seismic rehabilitation projects, there are four main factors for design and development:
1. Local knowledge of the region.
2. Materials in the region.
3. The cost of seismic reconstruction based on performance.
4. Time to implement seismic reconstruction plan.
In this case study, is the answer to the above questions?
1- The technical knowledge of the area was generally medium to high. Using modern computing technology to run samples such as ّFRP and Base Isolation was somewhat difficult.
2-The materials in the area are generally cement and rebar.
3-The cost of seismic reconstruction should not exceed 20% of the cost of rebuilding, according to the employer's request and the use of the building.
4-According to the user, this project should be a seismic reconstruction within 3 months.
It should be noted:
Other proposed designs for the seismic reconstruction of this building are:
1- Using a concrete shear wall and rigging the roof aperture
2- Use of FRP Fibers
3- Embed base isolation under foundation
Follow the topics presented in lessons Seismic Rehabilitation.
In the future, I'm going to offer some computational examples.

Thanks for posting this.
Can you expand a little about why you chose this method of <g class="gr_ gr_205 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="205" data-gr-id="205">retrofiting</g>, any other alternatives you considered, and situations you would recommend that others consider using this method as opposed to alternates?
