At the risk of sounding like an echo
Any AEC improved methodology whether IPD whatever must demonstrate the following in a transparent and verifiable way in real time
1 . It will improve total efficiency / productivity
2. It will improve TCO
3 . It will reduce soft costs
4 . It will reduce Risk / Liability for project and participant EO / GL
5. It will improve project and deliverable quality
Clients no longer want to hear that this or that ( according to unverifiable data ) will do wonders eventually they wand results .

Subject: IPD--Collaboration and Risk
Let's start by exploring "what were the prime factors contributing to the choice of IPD for project delivery?" Folks who are participating in IPD projects may want to elaborate on whether these reasons turned out to be true..
Then we can continue the conversation about insuring true collaboration, risks, and client education.
In a separate post let's discuss if there are reasons for project to not follow the IPD method.

In your experience, what types of projects are best suited for IPD? How do you insure true collaboration, and that the risk is really equitably distributed? What have you done to educate potential clients about IPD?
