It seems it takes a long time for civil engineering researcher to report and publish the quake codes, so, what are the plans to organise a world forum to present call papers,on earthquake civil engineering design codes?

I suggest you check with  Applied Technology Council <atc@...> They provide significant information on earthquake analysis.

Davy - In most countries, the publication of building codes is a cooperative effort between researchers, practicing architects and engineers, building officials and government agencies.  Regardless, since 1956, the International Association of Earthquake Engineering has hosted a World Conference on Earthquake Engineering every four years.  The conference, which is held in a different nation every 4 years, draws thousands of researchers and engineers who present papers on their research findings and recommendations for building code updates.  As it happens, the 18th WCEE will be held in Milan Italy, June 30- July 5 this year.  I believe you can contact the IAEE to obtain copies of the proceedings of these conferences.
